With the money I have saved from not smoking I have booked a 5 night trip to Vienna for my husbands 40th birthday in August (great feeling not having to worry about smoking and if the hotel was non smoking, gasping for a smoke in the airport, on the flight etc...)
I was wondering if any of you have been to Vienna, I would like to pre-book day trips to Budapest and Saltzburg but can't really find any sites for these other than Viator. Trip advisor does not seem to have any of these day trips. Any recommendations / advice would be much appreciated.

What a great idea! It really shows you how much money you can save by giving up the smokes. At the minute I would struggle to hire a caravan in Scarborough!
Sorry I can't help with the sightseeing (haven't been to Vienna before). Have a lovely time!

Thanks Nozmo, yeah I do really notice the money I am saving, this time last year, not a hope in hell I would have been able to book and pay in full for a holiday in January, haven't touched my savings since I quit and would usually have dipped into them to get me over Christmas, hopefully you will see the savings soon too,...hope you are doing good.
Fantastic news Rowens. You really deserve this special treat and Vienna will be lovely in August. .
I have been but only on a very short break. It's beautiful and there are so many things to see and do that I'm sure you're already aware of. I would love to go back for a longer stay.

Thanks a million for that Linda, that is helpful, we are really excited about going especially after watching Mission Impossible 5 over Christmas and the scene at the Opera house!
