I'm sorry if I have not took the time to edit my profile nor made any posts. I will do this in the meantime and look forward in joining the community. I have decided to see what's it like going at least 24 hours without smoking and it's been only 30 minutes since I quit. I know I'm a laughing stock for typing this message and I myself find this funny.I don't think I've ever gone at least 3 days without smoking but I feel that typing on the forum will kind of guide me from Day 0 and so forth. I heard that ONE DAY at a TIME will help guide ex-smokers into the thing of their dreams: Becoming a non smoker.

And once again, I do apologize for creating a topic before posting.

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by quitting. Small steps make larger inroads. It's daunting at first but it all passes and gets easier day by day

Hi Reggie and welcome :)

You've taken a first step - well done!

Hi and welcome, as all have said.... you are doing well :) You are thinking about it... step 1.... brilliant.... and now you have stopped.... it's not about 'failing' (how I hate this word).... it's about trying :)

As the others have said you've started your quit journey you've jumped and that's terrific and now the road opens and you keep going keep trying I've had some lapses but I kept going kept trying and now first time actually feel secure I'm only on day 8 but it feels different so my advice is if you trip dust down and carry on walking you will get there xx

Hi Reg

you honestly have made the right decision to join the forum, we have all felt like we are "laughing stock" when we first decided to 'see how we go,' I honestly wished I would have joined earlier instead of waiting 8days, the important thing us you have taken the first thought and made it a reality, we all try really hard, to achieve what we set out to do and sometimes we slip up and punish ourselves by having to go back to step one again, whatever happens over the next hours, days, weeks, months, the most important thing is that you are thinking about making the most important step of your life, this is good, well done I look for to your posts 😀
