I even got to the garage to buy cigarets , so tempting. I stopped myself, a year on wow I,m just going to have to keep going.

Lots of rubbish happening, but never ever did I think, I would want to smoke again.

Shows have to have my guard and resolve up, so using the forum right now to help me!!!M

Tracey xxxx Been thinking of you, knowing what a hard time you are having. That nicotine sees any chink in your armour. You have done so brilliantly well, we all admire your words and your achievements, read back through some of your own posts to know how not to smoke. How powerful it feels to imagine being in the arms of nicotine, but imagine how it would feel the next morning. Close your eyes... imagine how your mouth would feel. Keep your eyes closed imagine the smell in your house, the smell of your hair. Stay with me, imagine how you would feel inside knowing what you have gone through for the last year all to give it up for a moment's 'relief', which would not really be relief but huge disappointment.

Funerals, families and dying brings out the absolute worst in everyone. There is one tiny bit you can stay in control of, and this is it..

Tracey, you are a shining light on here for lots of people. Do what ever gets you through the night, but don't smoke. I think what I might do is write down. A huge rant pages and pages of angry words.

Thinking of you. Rooting for you and sending lots of love xxxxx

Keep posting, all night if you need to. I'll be here xx

Oh hang in there Ms Tracey, you know smoking won't help anything and will in fact only make you feel worse. Maybe time to read some of your own words on this site from your replies of encouragement you give to so many others struggling. Go out side to your garden and take a few deep breaths of fresh air and remember why you don't smoke anymore - all those reasons and benefits of not smoking will certainly out weigh any one bad thought that a cigarette could possibly do any good.

Well said, Que. Tracey we've all been thinking of you today, and will be tomorrow I'm sure - hang in there and remember we've got your back xx

Absolutely. Very pleased you didn't succumb. You are a beacon to many on here, so I hope you're feeling enough positive pressure and responsibility not to there. Especially for yourself. My sister has been quit for 10+ years and she still has to watch out from time to time. Her husband is the opposite. No desires to smoke ever.

Just found your post. What can I add.... Just so happy you didn't smoke. Go and find some smokers huddled outside an office and sniff the stale smoke, it usually reinforces my quit! Ha ha! Was thinking of a (not very PC but here goes) skanky woman in pj's getting fags at stupid o'clock, she did more to save my quit than she'll ever know!

I know you won't smoke, I know you won't smoke because you are a special lady that wouldn't smoke as to show the new quitters it can be done despite life's slings and arrows........hugs xxxx
