So it's day 1 for me, not the first time but let's say the other times it was half hearted at best. I've set my day, read countless articles and watched numerous videos which I have to say have inspired me more than ever. A friend recommended joining this forum to help me see I'm far from alone when the tough times arrive. Five left in the packet and then off we go, any advice or tips would be very welcome as this time I feel it's the right time and never want to go back, good luck everyone.

All the best with your quit and it looks like you've done your homework

Best advice i took from here in the beginning was to take it an hour at a time, I couldn't look at the bigger picture. I also took deep breathes when the craves got bad and sucked on strong sweets.

What you are doing is difficult but so worth it, all the best for today

Thanks, looking at the big picture is a big mistake as I discovered in the past you can't see it ever happening, so this time it's a day at a time.
