Hi, I'm not exactly a newbie - first joined way back in 2012 but unfortunately failed on every attempt to give up the cancer sticks. I've tried cold turkey, champix, zyban, and every form of NRT that can be had. Just discovered the Allen Carr book and I'm impressed and encouraged even after just a quick read - I'm liking his thinking behind stopping, far more positive than anything else I've come across. Anyone used his method?

Hi Redhead,
I stopped being a smoker two months ago. I stopped suddenly and without any aids. I threw all my lighters, etc., half a pack of cigarettes and one half smoked stick in the garbage. I had had enough. I didn't plan it, there was no time to feel nervous, it just happened.
I read Allan Carr's Easyway about two weeks after I stopped smoking. I really liked what he had to offer and found that I was already implementing a lot of the practices found in Easyway. This time around, I am not quitting, I am not giving up smoking. I have made a choice not to smoke and it seems to be working well for me.
Good luck with your journey down this path. reach out if you need a tow along the way.
