I am using nicotine gum at the moment. This is my third attempt at stopping (the last one was over 10 years ago lol!). Must admit I didn't think I would ever do it again been smoking for over 40 years! I have to say that I am noticing benefits already - breathing easier, not coughing etc but blimey it's not easy is it?

I read on here someone saying that they thought week 3 was hard as you have got over the excitement and now it's just plodding on and not giving in - couldn't agree more! I will do it though - no going back now

A big welcome from me too and many congratulations on getting stuck into your third week. You're right that it isn't always a breeze, but it's so worth persisting with as the benefits far outweigh any of the nasty bits.

You'll find the forum is full of fantastic people all of whom will fall over themselves to provide peer support and advice. Glad you've done lurking and hope you will post lots.
