Struggled through to day 5 and felt enthusiasm waning. Tried to give myself a boost by working out how much money I'd saved so far. Came home and found an unexpected bill for the same amount. Money saved: £0.00. Someone upstairs is having a laugh.
Day 5's big question: what is the point? - No Smoking Day
Day 5's big question: what is the point?
The point is my friend. You are getting your life back. We werent born to smoke, we thought it was a good thing at the time, we now know its bad for you and unsociable. It will get easier especially when u start to see the benefits x
Just as deb say's but would add, that theoretically you have saved as you would be paying double , if you get my drift.
Keep going you can do this!
Good point about paying double. Was in too much of a murderous rage earlier to see it that way. Anyway, failed tonight, start again tomorrow.
To anyone thinking about sparking up and starting the whole quitting process over again, I can testify that the first fag for days was a massive disappointment.
Welcome Hall,
Next time you get into a murderous rage (and it's a common quitting symptom :)) take it out on nicotine instead. A fag-shaped punch bag would fit the bill, or even a rolled up piece of paper you can jump on and generally destroy. Far better than turning the anger inward and smoking.
You can do it and you'll get bags of support from us whenever you need it. Rooting for you.

That says it all, keep going
Cheers everyone for the support. Hopefully I can share some tips of my own when I chuck the fags for good
Hi Hal, how are you getting on. X
Day 1 again and feels a lot easier than it did last Monday. Guess we learn something from each attempt
