So far this year I have quit smoking for over 9wks, started exercising daily and eating better and have so far lost 15lbs! I am so chuffed with myself at the moment, I pray I keep it up, I wanted to lose 3 stone and be a non smoker by the time we go to Disneyland in November, if I keep this up ill have dropped more :) xxx anyone for a high five?

Just one small question though....... Im still on and off craving fags..... Normal? I refuse to go back to day 1 so I dont think ill crack, im right in the middle of moving house so thinking maybe its because im Feeling a bit stressed xxx

Oh my word.... what a post. How big is the grin on your face:D:D:D

We quit about the same time and I too have been suffering the occasional twinge which I thought would be done with by now. Like you not tempted to smoke just a bit fed up of it.

I've been doing a bit of reading through the month3 posts and it seems we're perfectly normal! I think this is the month that it becomes annoying!

The excitement of telling everybody, being pleased and RESISTING these terrible urges has gone, but we're still being reminded that we used to smoke.

From what I can see Month 3 is annoying but not the pain and terror of month 1 and 2.

It's just the cost of being smoke free and such a small price to pay to come out the other side.

Well done on totally changing your life! What an amazing achievement, you're going to be a totally different person by November.

A big High 5 from me too Win :)

We're in the same boat actually, as I have also increased my exercise routine and been dieting and have lost 1.5 stone so far. Big birthday looming in the summer and was b*****ed if I was going to be a fat smoker at 50...:)

You're really storming this aren't you? Disneyland here we come!! :D

Well done really pleased for you:)3 mths is a massive achievement :)

It's maddening that you still get craves, and be on your guard as the 3 mth mark seems to be the undoing of many quitters:(

Myself included in my last quit:(

What a fantastic, positive post!

Congratulations to you 😃

You are right to be proud of yourself

Xx

This is a brilliant post, can't believe you have lost 15lb since you quit aswell! Amazing! With regards to 9 weeks I think there is something in the air, cigs have been on my mind more but it's more a fanciful thought rather than a "aaaargh" moment, not sure if that's what your feeling or are you getting proper craves? Xxx

Hey win. Great post and congratulations on your quit so far. For me at 3 months personally I got the odd crave but resisted because I knew I had come such long way without smoking and didn't want to go back to day one. It does get easier. Keep it up. How good do you feel to be a non smoker !!

Thankyou all so so much xxx I havent told anyone ive quit smoking yet, only a couple of people have noticed lol, I didnt dare in case I didnt stick it, havent told anyone anything actually.

Im craving really bad but I think its because im so stressed from moving, I absolutely refuse to give in but its hard. Ive heard bad things about month 3, once I get passed this month I will tell people my achievements so far this year :) xxx

Again, you are all absolutely fab, I love you all, we all deserve a high five, low five and baby five :) xxx
