Well at 10 o'clock tonight it will be 6 weeks off the fags the last few days have been quite hard as iv been totally chilling out, sitting on the beach with a pint watching the waves and i did feel as though I was missing something.
I got over it but think it's the hardest time I've had in the 6 week's, maybe because I was totally relaxed and with a clear mind.
So if any fellow quitters are going on holiday or on a relaxing break please beware.

That's actually what I'm worried about, my holidays in June but I'm hoping that I'll be strong enough by that stage for it not to bother me that much

Hi Blonde,
As long as you are prepared im sure your be fine, you will probably be off the NR by them, but I would take some with you just to be on the sate side
That's wonderful Keith, hope you're proud of yourself, you flippin' well should be!:D:D
And I think that's a very valid warning, hitting certain "leisure" triggers for the first time can be hard so we need to be prepared - I shall be having my first sojourn on foreign soil since quitting later this year and I shall be armed and ready to knock his block off the first time the stinky little oik raises his ugly yellow head!
Six weeks is a whole lot of time mate, you're making serious inroads into this journey and it won't be long now until you're at two months. Soon those milestones are going to start flying past at a rate of knots so just keep on keeping on, you're doing GREAT!
Hi Kat,
Thanks for your support, im sure by then your be strong enough.
Have you booked yet, where are you going or thinking of going.
Well done Keith 6 weeks is a fantastic achievement given that the first few weeks are the worst so pat your self on your back because you definitely deserve it. Now keep it going and you will soon be passed 2 months
I meant to add that I know what you mean about hols they were my nemesis but it is still very early days for you so well done for not giving in.

Hi
Know exactly what you mean - just took the caravan away for a week in the New Forest. I knew it would be more difficult than being at home and working but was definitely surprised at the number of things I associated with having a smoke.
Worst of all is driving all the way at 55mph - so boring I would normally have chain smoked - If thats any consolation to those drivers who were stuck behind me.
6 weeks is a major achievement. I really admire the way you have doggedly persisted and refused to be diverted off course despite some difficult times when you were feeling pretty ropey. You're quite right- no matter how prepared you think you are there are always those moments that take you unawares- but you did what you always do and held on until it passed.
Many, many congratulations and hope you enjoyed your break.
Hammy, well done to you, it's funny when you least expect it the horrible things creep up on you, you did well to resist, it won't always be like this, sounds like you're having the sort of time chilling that I need, why o why didn't you take me with you  good on you, so please for you, 6 whole weeks
Hi Bluebell,
