End of Day 11

Coming to the end of day 11 and ****** hell it's been tough at times today. I could have bitten off someone's hand for a cigarette, but I didn't, I resisted and I'm still on track.

I can't fathom why today would be any more difficult. I wasn't particularly stressed, it must just have been one of those days, but I survived it and it's made me a little bit stronger.

I love not smoking. I love not smelling of smoke, I love not coughing, I love everything about being a non-smoker.

Still going CT and still going strong.

Well done Crisisgirl, you kicked that little demon right where it hurts today! It's amazing how just resisting for the day can make you feel so much more confident in your quit and it means that if another day like this comes along you'll know just what to do

I tell you what Crisis thank god for this post!... You have admitted you are struggling but you accept it for what it is and can see the positives of not smoking.. Really well done to you keep it going you are well on the way to your first month smoke free (plus your clothes smell of washing powder for a lot longer don't they? :)) x

Thank you ladies for your support, it really does mean a lot and helps loads. I often have a 5 minute read on the forum as a bit of a pep talk and it works a treat.

You are doing so well, actually you are doing brilliantly.

I still don't understand why some days are flipping awful and others an easy ride, but it is the way it is. Rough and smooth, cope with the rough and glide with the smooth.

Some days do seem easier than others and from what I read on this forum eventually the easier ones outnumber the harder ones.

Day 24

Hang on in there guys,I'm 12 days ahead of you and can tell you it does get easier.......not as easy as the 3 month ers but easier...with each passing day.

And yes some days are rough and some smooth.....still

Oh I'm not giving in, so don't worry about that. I couldn't possibly put myself through this again, so best to keep going. Today was much better than yesterday and it's good to know that even on a bad day, I didn't even consider cracking. Yes it was tough and I know I'll have other tough times, but I can (and am) do this.
