Thanks Gemma how are you feeling with your quit? What do you do to help? I think it's mind over matter for me! Honestly never thought I would fight the crave off this easily and have only had 1 real bad crave!!! I'm so selfish to my body I thought it was the hardest thing like ever but it's hard but suppose it's how much I wanted to stop a!? Maybe I have more terrible cravings to come?!?! 🙈 just got to keep head strong.

Good luck and well done to us all for even trying 👍😉😄😄😄

I'm not doing badly thanks, am on patches and gum (and post it notes, lol) it's up and down but know I'll get there!!

Really wanting to stop is the best help of all - it's mostly a mental battle and when you've got that bit sorted (sounds like you have!!) it's way easier :D

Don't worry about the future for now, just keep going one day at a time :)

Way to go Lyds!

I went cold turkey too, it was the only way for me to break the addiction, the first few days are tough but after that it really does get easier very quickly. I found that going out for short walks when I felt an urge helped, so did shouting at the crave in my head like a sargeant major to an unruely teenager (oh and lots of kit kat chunkies :D).

The important thing is to do whatever it takes to get you through the first few days, and you are completely right, it is almost an exclusive mental challenge but one which is rewarding, amazing, tough, uplifting and ultimately all about setting you free, you CAN and WILL do this :D
