Well here we are on Monday and it is day 16 for me, I think. Brain is totally befuddled at the mo, not slept properly for ages and feel like I have the flu coming on
I must apologize to all those who have given me help and support. I feel like I have been taking and not giving back, especially this weekend. There is no real excuse except I have felt lousy and really struggled in the battle against fags. So thanks again to everyone, you guys really are great
Right I am going to hide in my office and try to keep a low profile.
Good luck to all quitters, keep on pushing on
Cheers
Jim

Don't worry about it, like John said, thats what this forum is for, it's a place where people can come on and express their thoughts during the difficult quit phase, no one is judging you as we are all going through it/been through it or are just about to go through it! Keep up the great job on your quit! going well
This place is amazing, I never thought 'group therapy' would help me, but knowing you guys are going through/gone through the same stuff helps immensely. The past few days have been tough, but back up and at it now, bring it on!!
Aww I'm soy you've been having a rough time of it Jim!!
Never worry about not giving back, there's time for that later Some times you've got to look out for yourself first and not worry about what other people think, and quitting is one of them
What matters is that you're still quit and still with us!!
Well done on getting to Day 16 Jim and, as all the others have said, any help this place can give is given freely and willingly so no worries. You've already helped others and that you had to just take a wee step back whilst you fought the good fight over the weekend is fine.
Good luck with the low profile at work today, it makes some days easier if you're just left in peace doesn't it?

Hi Molly, yup keeping a low profile is the way forward today! Got half the lights on in my office and hiding behind my monitor so people think I am out and leave me alone! Thank you for your kind words and support
Telling your story honestly, like you are, is a huge help to everyone!!
Hope you have a better day, mate
Alright mate, today is getting better, slowly! I would rather be honest about it all, would love to say it is plain sailing, but that wouldn't be true!
Don't worry about it Jim, that's how the forum works. Sometimes we are doing well so can help others along and other times it's us who need the help. Sterling job of a quit going there.
Hi John
Thanks for that mate, always encouraging and supportive

Thank you for that, I do feel bad that I haven't given as much bad as I have taken. It is testament to the wonderful people on here that you are all so giving
Boy in the chair we are all here to help each other thru the good times and the bad. Sorry to hear you feel abit yuk but it will get better. You are still battling on and that is all you can do so well done xxx
Thank you Debbie, I will keep on keeping on! Hope you are doing ok

Good for you!
This quit lark is so confusing because just when you think your over the worst....bang..you hit a really bad day..Just cannot let our guard down.
I think it was Max who said "as long as smoking is not an option " we just have to find other ways of distracting ourselves.
But I'm sure we will get there, nothing is going to be as bad as the first week and if we got through that then we can get through he 3 rd...and 4 th........
Poor you, sorry I haven't been around to be of much support. Don't you dare apologise for leaning on this place and the folks here bud, that's EXACTLY why we're here! I've said it several times, Bill Withers' song Lean on Me should be the forum anthem and it's always a two way street, those you lean on today may need you tomorrow. Glad you're still going mate, here's hoping for a better day for you
Hi Kat
Many thanks for your kind words, you have helped me immensely, so please don't apologize. Seeing you get to your year quit is tremendous inspiration for me. I can't wait to get there, got a feeling it will be a bit of a bumpy road, but hey, what doesn't kill us and all that!
I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling Jim, it's horrible when it becomes unrelentlessness like that, I hope you feel a bit better now You're only a day behind me there's a few of us that's going to be reaching that pent house around about the same time, it's going to be great keeping going buddy, we won't be having any casualties
Hey Cupster
Thank you for your post, it is heartening to know you guys are all there supporting each other
We will ALL make it to the penthouse, hold the door open for me!
