I was brushing my teeth last night and it downed on me that my skin looks the best it's ever looked. Almost all of my life i've had terrible skin (acne, blemishes and all manner of red things :() so to actually see such a possitive change as this due to me stopping smoking was a pleasant surprise. I thought i'd see if anyone else has noticed their skin looking better after quitting?

I didn't think I had particularly bad skin previously but my goodness, the difference now is enormous. I've been told by many people that I look years younger and I was well chuffed the other day when a market researcher who had nabbed me in a weak moment couldn't believe I was in the '46-54' age bracket (or so she said anyway :o).
In fact, quitting fags may be the best beauty aid ever.
I noticed a difference too, as does my nail tech every time I see her! lol
Ive always had "teenage" skin (even though im in my 30s now) so I cope with that, but the tone and condition and brightness is really quite wonderful!!
I'm so pleased to read this thread to give me hope, my skin has never looked so bad as it has up to now, dry, spotty, blemished, grey, dark circles round my eyes and puffy face.
I am just getting through day 1 and have drank loads of water today and had some fruit among other things - eaten well but healthy if you know what I mean.
Got one on my chin too, but it's on the jawline at the side, so annoying hahaha never had spots before in my life! I see it as all the cr4p coming out tho so it's all good also my skin is softer too x
I guess im still waiting on the Good Skin haha..Ive been quit now 3 weeks,my hair is softer for sure, and my nails seem to be growing faster (if thats possible) but my skin, my poor poor skin! its dry and blotchy and yucky, i look as if i have aged 10 years! and my eyes, the whites, i have to say look yuckier then before..maybe its like hitting rock bottom before it gets better haha, here is hoping!!

Quite amazing isn't it, I definitely have little red cheeks ( I mean on my face lol) there new to me. Am sure it's not smoking that has brought about a rosy glow.
