I DID IT!!! Day 5 without cigarettes and it is Friday night (aka wine night) and still no cigarette. Sort of feels surreal. I have smoked every day since I was 15 (I am now 30) therefore this is probably the first weekend night that I have drunk alcohol AND not smoked in my entire life. :)

5 days without a cig feels amazing doesn't it? It just shows that everything can still be done and enjoyed without one so keep up the good work, that's brilliant :):)

Thanks so much, the support on here is so helpful and hopefully after a couple more days I will be less self absorbed and will start helping to motivate others! Just need to get through the rest of the weekend now. You are right though, it is all about getting past the routine habits

Yes, gets a little bit easier. Still feel like it is such early days though and wish it wasn't on my mind constantly! Must keep busy.... I think Saturdays may prove my biggest challenge, but we shall see!

I have nothing but awe for all of you. No one who hasn't been through it can have any idea how hard it is. I'm constantly gob-smacked that I've managed to get as far as I have and I think you lot are absolutely superb, I really do. :D

It's amazing how impossible we used to think it was, only a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't even have crossed my mind. I never planned to do this, but I'll never go back either, not to full on chuffin'
