I'm ecstatic to say that I've now reached the 8 month mark and am living very happily as a non-smoker
Stats:
242 days without a cigarette
2423 cigarettes not smoked
£900 (ish) saved
9 days added onto my life
Apart from that I don't have much more to report really.
For anyone who is thinking of quitting; this is one of the best, most kindest, life saving things I have done for my body so far. Don't delay because you're scared that you won't get by, just put out that cigarette and get started!!
As always I have this wonderful forum to thank for my success so far, and I will continue my mission of collecting new non-smoking recruits! Lol. Thanks guys
Xxx

Thanks Debbie, yes I have earnt it
What's amazing is the sense of pride you still have at every milestone. Even though everyone else is just getting on with their lives and your no smoking plight is all but forgotten about (apart from on this forum of course ;)), you still quietly celebrate your own achievements *pulls party popper*
Yours is a glorious quit Sarah Lou and I remember only too well that you went for weeks and weeks, just waiting to start again, not apparently having your heart in it
Something clicked along the way though and here you are EIGHT MONTHS without a stinky cancer stick-Congrats!!!! pic4ever.com/images/47b20s0...
Thanks Max
Luckily, my heart jumped right back into it just at the moment that I needed it most! I'm very happy it did, because I (and so many others here) know what it's like when you lose yourself to smoking again. It can take a long time to crawl your way back out of the pit!
I can hear the chatter and celebrating going on in the Penthouse and I can't wait to be there! Xxx
You are doing so fantastically well Sarah Lou. I love reading your posts, you're so positive and happy in your quit, it shines through and gives newbies just the hope that they need in the early days and weeks.
Well done petal, you'll be partying into the Penthouse before we know it
Always a joy to congratulate our very own D'Artagnan on her steady onward progress towards the hallowed portals of the Penthouse! What makes it extra special is that you are so secure in your quit, spending time here is no longer a need for you, it's a choice, and that speaks volumes! Take heart newbies, this could be YOU!
Hope your recuperation is going well hon and I hope you'll be celebrating this milestone tonight - you're two thirds of the way there!
Bless you Kat. Always full of compliments
I'm recovering well thanks and am enjoying spending more time on here while I'm at home! Will definitely celebrate with a glass of wine or five (like I need an excuse! ;)) xxx

Thanks Molly.
It means a lot to know that my posts might be helping others. It was just what I needed early on in my quit, so it's nice to give something back
Congratulations Sarah, you deserve every drop of that Blossom Hill, enjoy every second in that luxury apartment before moving to your forever home of the penthouse pic4ever.com/images/oregoni...

Well done!! I think its brilliant as someone who is almost ending her month 1 to see these types of posts....it helps me when I get those "ooooo I cant do this!" moments (which thankfully are less and less!) because it re-focuses me, so Thankyou!!
