Hi everyone, hope you are all still doing great. I have not been on the site for a while as I have been busy living life as a non smoker! :)

It's been 13 weeks and 3 days and so many hours since my last stinker and I am so pleased. I dont miss the smell, stink, taste, hours wasted or money spent on them.

I did have a major crash two weeks ago and I was in a right state with my self as I missed the comfort they used to give me. A friend who stopped years ago explained to me, a fag was my best friend, it never let me down, always cheered me up, never left my side and now I don't have this "best friend" I felt lost! I think it's right what others have already said with their own experience of stopping smoking you may have a crash a few months in and I have had mine. I still on the patches I am now on 10 and I must say during my meltdown I was going on to lower patches from 14! I'm used to the 10's now and everything is fine.

I have found my experience ok to be honest, I have found the not smoking bit easy, the nicotine addiction is another matter and I'm not ashamed to say I am addicted! I have had loads of good days and only few bad, I take the bad days to heart as I don't get them often but I know deep down ill never touch a stinker again. :) anyone thinking they can't do it, you can keep going and be proud.

Keep at it, you are doing great! The tough parts get much easier. Unfortunately nicotine withdrawal seems to amplify any negative feelings you may have in your life outside of the stress of quitting smoking, well for me it did anyway. I was in a much better place in my life when I started this quit and it helped a TON. I wouldn't have been able to do this without my super girlfriend and my daughter.

3 months + is fantasy dozy , I used the patch system and for me the fear of dropping down to the lower level patch was quit daunting, but when I took the plunge it only took two to three day,s to adjust.

Great your well into 1/4 of a year. That's great:)
