Yesterday for some unknown reason I really fancied some Blue Cheese and crackers ! I always gagged at the thought in the past but yesterday I bought some
Oat Crackers (Never had them before)
Blue Stilton Cheese
Green Grapes
And oh my word, I so enjoyed the flavours
Hs anyone else developed new tastes..?
One more thing, I have also noticed just how sweet the strawberries are at the moment too, scrummy. So my new breakfast is now, blueberries, strawberries and fat free Greek yoghurt with sesame seeds and walnuts

What a healthy brekkie, I'm still on Weetabix and shreddies at the mo but even that's an improvement for me, I just used to have 3 fags and two coffees
Just read your other post with your new hair cut ! Oh that is so good and what an incentive maybe next month treat yourself to a really relaxing facial !
Well Done, so pleased for you my breakfast has changed since I've gained 9lb since my quit hahaha ! I am trying !
oh your breakfast does sound really healthy Woo and scrummy too
will have to give it a try
well my tastes changed alot when i quit i found i didnt like the coffee i used to drink so had to try afew different ones till i found one i did like
but
my biggest change was i became a chocolate fiend  before i could just eat one or two squares and then lose interest and i had been known to end up throwing chocolate away it used to go out of date but when i quit smoking i couldnt stop eating the damn thing
in the end i just stopped buying it  i found taking the temptation completely away was alot better
I must admit I've just realised that my taste has improved after reading your post. I'm on day 4 today and I was just telling my wife how good the food she made is, then I had a coffee and it also tasted brilliant so I told the barista at costa that she has made the best mocha I've ever had. I just read your post and realised that it's probably that my wife's cooking is just the same and so is the coffee, it's my tastebuds that are better ! Brilliant !

I did notice that in my 2nd or was it the 3rd week that my beloved coffee tasted rank, but it only lasted about 5 days then back to normal thank goodness
Gemma, being a Cornish girl and eating fish and chips, presumably at the seaside in a small sunny cove and therefore home to Doc Martin  do you ever see the good Doctor and is he in real life as nasty as he is on TV?
Ooh I wish!!
Would have been fab but they were nice indoors!!
Port Isaac is about 30 miles away so I don't see him
Woo ~ My taste buds have come alive! I can taste so much better now! I never use to cook much but now I am really enjoying cooking and baking! I can actually taste the different spices and recognize what taste good with what. Cooking has become my new hobby! I am going to a soap making class in a few weeks. I am hoping to enjoy that just as much - because I am gaining way too much weight cooking all of the time!
Me smiling here...yes haven't they just (taste buds) ! The first few weeks I was complaining that everything tasted salty !! Still cannot drink tea coffee without sweetener. Eating sweets (candy) till I'm sick ! But also love different tastes which burst with flavour ! Everything is just too tasty !
Good Luck with the soap making ! Think I'm going to have to start a hobby too soon.
Oh poor you going off lager with me I definitely have problem with my salt taste, EVERYTHING tasted salty which meant I couldn't eat anything with added salt...chips, fish, crisp peanuts...but wish I could say the same for the sweet stuff. Thought I had a sweet tooth before my quit but OMG...now I'm talking SERIOUS ! It's a very worrying habit now. First months I didn't care but its time to nip it in the bud. Hence, running and fruit breakfasts. But have to confess to a gorgeous Apple Pie and custard for dessert yesterday lol
And now I don't put in the shopping trolley toffees, mints, liquorice.
I did try the snack a jack chocolate rice cakes which are nice but I'd eat a whole packet in one go grrrrr...so don't buy them anymore. That's my problem I don't do moderation ! I'm a All or Nothing person hahaha
