Yes, another day beckons, another day to be on guard against the monster. As I forgot to take my 2nd Champix on Saturday evening, I decided to not take my 2nd one yesterday evening, too, and to see what happened. Luckily, nothing did happen, but I was aware that the monster might have thought that I was more vulnerable to a sneaky move on his part.

I am hoping that he has realised that he doesn't stand a chance with me and has gone off somewhere and disappeared in a puff of his own smoke, the stupid little twit. :eek:

It must be said that I am feeling pretty pleased about having got this far, but I am not going to let my guard down for one moment. Without this amazing place and amazing people, I know I would have caved in, certainly at one point. But I didn't and it's all thanks to the lovely people on here!

i used to think of my smoking demon as a very spoilt child that used to have tantrums and the best way to beat him was to ignore him big time they still scream shout and stamp there feet but will go into a sulk when its not getting the attention it wants

The lovely people on here keep me going and keep me strong. I know I always say that, but it's true!

But there is something I have to do.......

It ain't a walk in the park, this quitting lark, is it? Today has been the hardest day so far, perhaps I've just got the Day 3 difficulties a bit late!

But, the day is nearly done and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Of course, now I am really glad that I didn't succumb, but it was a struggle and a reminder of the power of the Nicodemon. Honestly, I thought he'd gone, but he must still be lurking somewhere.:mad:

But......the past two evenings, I haven't taken my second blue Champix. Perhaps I'm not quite ready to stop them yet......I'm only on day 13. Yes, I think I must continue with the 2 blue ones for quite a bit longer. That'll get rid of him!

Ah, well, it's a long old journey to smoke-freedom. Lots of laughter and tears along the way and always, always learning every day.

Day 5 tomorrow........this time last week I was so scared of quitting :eek: and yet, despite the temptations that Nic is putting in my way, I have to say that, overall, it's not been as horrendous as I thought it would be. And why is that? It's because of this place and the lovely people on here!
