I am absolutely loving the sunshine at the moment! I hate the fact that I'm working through it, but it still puts a smile on everyone's face and the evenings in my back garden have been lovely. Seems as though the good weather will continue into the weekend as well Woop!
What's great is that the last thing I want to do at the moment is smoke. Even in the sunshine, with a drink in one hand, it doesn't bother me one little bit. It's great to be able to enjoy exactly the same life I had before, but without the pain of remembering cigarettes, buying cigarettes, smelling of cigarettes, having that little tap on my shoulder to remind me it's time to smoke, the dirty looks you get from non-smokers because they're sat outside too and have to inhale the fumes. Sheesh, no wonder I was stressed!
Sorry for the ramble, I just like to remind anyone and everyone who has decided/is deciding to quit that there is life after smoking! It's the same as before, but better! xxx

Oh that's fab, I'm really pleased for you hun
Am glad to be in the same place - I still *fancy* a smoke sometimes but that's as far as it gets and smelling someone's smoke usually knocks that on the head too.

Lol YES!!
It used to bug me that I'd get evils for smoking, but can see their point now!! Used to park in lay bys when I was on the road 'cos i never smoked in my car and got so many dirty looks from other people (which I returned :eek and sitting outside pubs was another one!!
Your optimism and positivity is amazing. I can only hope that I will feel the same as you in a couple of months!
Enjoy the sunshine!
Don't you worry Sarah, You'll be here soon too
I've found that it's more of a "frame of mind" thing rather than time. If I'd been a bit more positive in the beginning I would have probably reached this stage a while ago!
Hoping to have half an hour or so in the garden when I get home tonight! x

Is your cold better now? xxx
I got really wound up last night because we nipped to my local in the evening for a pre-tea drink and there were people smoking at our table. The feel of the passive smoke hitting my chest, because I was ill as well, was horrible. I am normally okay with others smoking around me but I think I'm noticing what effects it has now that I'm a non-smoker. Passive smoke is dirty
Cold is much better now, though I'm sounding rather husky today! Lol

I'm back to how I used to be when I was little - giving people evils when they come up to where I'm sitting and lighting up.
(Weird isn't it? I loathed smoking when I was a little... shame I didn't stay like that)
It really does smell foul though!!

Yeah, it is odd that we all start out detesting the smell of smoking and the whole idea in general, then end up caving to a bit of peer pressure! Lol. Before you know it you're on ten a day and wishing you could stop!

Mmmm...Sunbathing would be nice xxx
Peer pressure and brainwashing did it for me, plus as I was allowed to drink anyway, smoking was the only way I could be a rebel
It was worse for me, was like a ratchet - when from a few a day to 25 by the end. Am amazed by smokers who stick to a set number 'cos i never did. Good in a way 'cos I'm sure if I'd stuck to 10ish I'd never have got fed up enough to quit.
Ooh I can imagine it, lovely warm sun and something cool to drink - heaven
