Been reading quite a few old posts last night to help me through day two evening. Some really good stuff. I made it through and surprisingly i can still smile.
So just embarking on day three and at the moment feeling pretty good i must say.
Past failures tell me that i am in the bubble of 'isnt this a novalty' and 'i am really doing it'. Not looking forward to that bubble bursting when i am then faced with the rest of my life.
I guess in one sense because i have tried and failed in the past i now know what to expect so am hopefully better equipped to deal with it? Maybe?
Anyway baby steps. Forget forever and think of today. I will not smoke a cigarrette today!!! (although i have not mentioned the fat cuban cigar between my teeth!!!)
Only kidding. At least i havent lost my sense of humour yet.
Cheers everyone for yesterdays support. You are great!!!
:p:p

You have the right attitude Jarvis - take it one dy at a time. Soon the days will turn into weeks and then the weeks into months. The first week has always been the hardest for me but you seem to be doing great. Also I think you said you were oing it CT which is even more admirable. I am using an e cig and gum and still struggling so perhaps you have the best idea!

Anyhow keep strong and best of luck for day 3.
Hi,
Thank you. Yes i am doing it CT. I did consider the e cig i just thought i would say what the hell lets give it whirl. I am only in the first three days so there is still time to put that down to stupidity! Im not sure there is a one size fits all approach. I think if the e cig and gum is working for you then awesome keep doing it. One day, possibly soon, you may feel you can cut back or dont need them anymore.
Anyway i know i am new here and dont know anyone well but from your posts yesterday it seems like you had a really tough day. The fact you didnt smoke is a credit to you and i hope today is a better day for you.

I am very impressed that you are doing it CT! Keep up the great work!
We all have good days and bad days and I've just had a few bad days in a row. Nothing serious - just everyday hassles like anyone else has. For me when I'm not smoking I think the problems just get magnified and it gets me down a bit. I'm quite sure I will bounce back soon and hopefully I can resist the urge to smoke in the meantime!
Nice to see you here amongst the crazies!! I am now on my 4th quit since January and also on day 3 so now you have a partner in crime.
I know too well about the bubble you speak of lol.
Just wanted to say hey and glad I have a same dayer to kick this with.

Hey Sherri,
Good stuff. Its always nicer when you have someone at the same level. Glad to have you on board.
Yep i think this is my 3rd quit since January and i did more last year, and the year before that.....
I will keep on trucking and try not to let you down. Just shout if you are feeling weak. Not sure i will be awake the whole time as i am in England and timing may be off but i will do my best.
A new quit buddy, just the thing to keep me on my toes and Jarvis I will take you up on that offer. If I feel like I am going to just go off the rails I will shout for you right quick!!
I hope you do the same. I'll be here anytime! Whoo Hoo !!
