I gave up for 5 weeks in January this year. Unfortunately I ran into an excessively stressful time and caved in. I also had a lot of quit zits which did not help at all. I feel I've only just finished puberty and I've been pretty much zit free for 2~ years, after suffering from very bad pimples for 5~ years.
I've read that these quit zits can last for up to 18 months, and with Uni on the horizon in September, I really do not want to risk dealing with them again for that long. It's not a pleasant thought at all.
I was wondering if any of you had first hand experience with them, any tips on what to do, how to treat them, how to NOT get them (lol) etc.
I know the inevitable effects of smoking far outweigh 'a few pimples', but I just can't get past the idea of possibly reliving my pimply years again!

I got spots and I hadn't had any for years. I ate less sweets and chocolate because everything tasted terrible. Only lasted a couple of weeks so I'm sure you can put up with that.
I think the large amount of water intake would definitely help, that's something I'm going to try.
Although, on my last quit attempt I mentioned in my first post, I wasn't eating any sweets / chocolate / etc, any more than usual. I'm not a big sugar person.
I agree that if you drink lots and lots of water, not only are you suppressing your cravings but you are also flushing all of the toxins out. If I were you I would DEFINITELY quit by making sure you have all the equipment you need (support, NTR etc) just in case you run into another sticky situation.
As you know, changes do occur but they usually only last a few weeks, but if you find your skin gets bad and stays that way, then I would recommend seeing the doc for medication for cream or other treatments - do no think that smoking again will help.
If you carry on smoking your skin will get worse in the long run, so now's the time! We're all here for you if you need any support
