Day 1 and im calm before the storm

Hey, so i posted a few days ago but it has taken me a few days to get myself ready to quit again (i find it helps if one gets disgusted by fags first) after catching my elastic bands for my braces, from yesterday sitting on the side and they had tar stains on them!!! :eek: yuk! and to think they sit in my mouth all day and after surgery! like get a grip girl and sort out your priorities!

So im alright, i said bye to my fags. gave them to my mum and told her to leave the house with them tomorow. been 2.5 hours and i already has a massive crave like 'ooooo one more' and saw this comming like yeah right! and went upstairs.

When i wake up tomorrow im willing myself to feel ok, but i also know im going to feel crappy now for 4 days (brain fog etc) but i guess this is the punishemnt i get for being stupid and smoking!

I hope you're full of optimism and pride, just as you should be. It's great that you've kept in touch with us and also jumped straight back in there not too long after falling off the no smoking wagon. I haven't attempted to quit since I became a regular smoker (apart from now), so I don't know how easy it is to get sucked back down again. But the thought is scary enought to keep me on the straight and narrow!

Have you thought about using patches or champix to help out with the early days? I was ill in my first week, so I cheated a little It certainly made those dreaded three days seem easy anyway!

I have tried everything before and.CT is the easyiest and.best method in.my opinion.anyways as i feel it gettin.better. Im.jealous you were ill! So was i in my last qyit and i didnt even.notice craves it was lovrely.

Five days of hell then a lifetime.of.bliss. Not as.bad as it seems.is it?

Yes, I am glad that I was ill for the first week, as I think I would have caved to be honest. And now look at me! Lol.

I agree that cold turkey is definately the best way and I'm sure you can hang onto this quit! You sound very determined, which is always a great start. x

I'm really glad you got back on with your quit, it is a lot harder to do it all over again even a few years later so you definitely made the right choice!!
