Hi Folks,

I was born at the end of the long hot summer of '76, and despite wasting half my life smoking, tomorrow will be my 76th day smoke & nicotine free.

Coincidentally I'll be celebrating by having my Stag night - a golf themed circle line pub crawl, stopping at 9 different boozers and a pool hall.

The weather isn't looking too bad, but I pity the few smokers that will be there. I'm especially looking forward to winning the Grand National sweepstake :-)

p.s. Can I call it a stag night when it starts at 11am? we might not even make it to nighttime :-)

I'm pleased to report the stag night went well and was smoke free.

We started early in a pub outside Waterloo Station, and managed a further 7 pubs including a pool hall. There was a bus replacement service which made the journey home last about 4 hours.

Big thanks to the random stranger who handed out Jaffa cakes and cans of Coke - certainly helped lessen the hangover this morning.
