Well I'm not sure what I expected (my mind conjured up me opening the packaging and ravaging the lot to settle the crave), but my e-cig arrived and I'm ... underwhelmed.
Had a puff, and it tastes ok, but I think I was waiting for my little nicotine demon to lash out as soon as I put it in my mouth (no euphemism intended!). I suppose I'm past the cravings more than I thought?
It's charging at the moment and I don't really intend to use it unless necessary, but it is kind of comforting to know its there in case of an emergency.
Anyway, I just wanted to update you all! One day at a time and if I need it then at least I know I can!

It's best if you do just use it when you get a big crave - but it will be fab to take on a night out because alcohol can really make you crave and lower your defences too
Well it's my first night out on Friday, since I stopped, and I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able trust myself with alcohol. There won't be many smokers there so I'm hoping this will encourage me to avoid the smoking shelter, but it's nice to have something that will help if really needed.
There's a menthol filter free with it and I ordered 6mg tobacco ones too.

Have a fab time, and now you've got your e-cig you should be safe!!
Mine's the menthol one 'cos tobacco ones "my" company does tastes pretty foul, worse than real fags
6mg is a mild one so you shouldn't have too much trouble with getting yourself hooked on that!!
Mine's 24mg, but I smoked about double what you did and am using it for NRT so that's my excuse - will be cutting it down a level soon though. xx
if your usual smoke is a 6, then go for the e-cig the next stage up as apparently the amount you absorb is less than you would from a proper smoke. I packed them in as being a bit useless before I found that out, they never really hit the spot as a real one would. Since tried a stronger and it was alot better.
That's true - there's no chemicals in the e-cig to make your lungs take in more nicotine. I went straight in to 24mg so haven't tried the lower ones yet.
Oh and I felt massively guilty after buying mine, but it *has* stopped me smoking and the more I think about it the more certain I am I'd have smoked if I hadn't got it.
