Sorry for TMI - but have any other lady quitters noticed a change in their menstrual cycles/hormones since quitting? I feel like my hormones are leveling out after two non-smoking periods, but I've had the worst PMS symptoms ever and they lasted around 3 weeks (period was late)!!
Just wondering

OMG this is totally me also. Have been quit 7 weeks tomorrow but my hormone levels still seem to be all over the place. Have even made an appointment with the doctors to get them checked as was thinking maybe I need HRT as this could be the start of my change, as I felt they were a bit up and down when I smoked but now... I have almost turned into someone I don't know. For a couple of weeks before my last period one minute i was dancing and singing around the kitchen and being the most godlike of wife's and mothers possible the next I am a demon screaming at everyone and just wanting to be left alone..even he cats got shouted at. Or maybe this is still the not smoking but it is totally driving me mad.
Just going to have a read of what Nonico has mentioned as anything that makes me feel I am not about to be carted off by the men in white coats will help.
I've been completely unbalanced and I seriously had PMS for three weeks. Thank God I'm coming to the end of my period and I feel okay ... but my God I can't cope with that every month, I'm only 26 and I'd rather have a hysterectomy!!
Also, sorry for TMI but you know how bowel function can be related to menstrual stuff? Yeah well that's gone all kinds of wrong for me also! Not impressed!
Hey all I am on week ten and could be delayed but I am the same!! The last couple have been super heavy and I have been miss over emotional! I have never suffered from PMS or anything before but omg I vary from complete victim crying myself to sleep over something completely insignificant to mrs paranoia to ms ANGRY with capital A seriously angry rrooaaaaarrrr!! But suddenly this week things have started to level out again see my post about 'miserable'
Weird isn't it? Shows how messed up this smoking thing is and the impact it has on our bodies! It's kind of frightening!?
Biggest other symptom just FYI is tired sooo tired!! V busy with job and home life but seriously could sleep for a week! Only can't ha! Keep waking up!
But I can officially report get to week ten and you get literally no craves woop! And I am cold turkey so if anyone was going to ...
Yeah I'm wiped out too, am pretty sure it's related to the hormone stuff! My oh my what a journey. As you say though it shows how completely dependant we were on smoking... Well done us! I'vejjust had my 2nd smokefree period at 8 weeks so I'm hoping for 3rd time lucky!!!!!
