Hold strong and have faith in your reasons. And yes had some last week and was fairly upset at myself felt like stamping my foot and shouting WHEN , WHEN , WHEN will I stop wanting... My own personal experience, it passed in a day and have not had another episode. We all have a lot of habit to put behind us and sure this has happened to every single person undergoing this journey at some point or another. 9 weeks is so far in over a sixth of the way to a year.. Be there before you know it, check out some of the members who are at a year plus.. All the inspiration you will need. Stay strong.

Hi Dean,

Yeah I've been there. I'm 4 months quit today and do still have the odd thoughts about smoking though can't call them craves as such. I think this is pretty normal to be honest. I know I don't want to smoke and enjoy being a non smoker but yeah there are just times when they just cross your mind! I think these go in time, or at least the time in between these thoughts becomes longer.....for example its days/weeks for me.

Stay strong you're doing fab!!

I'm at 9 weeks & I've felt just like this for a couple of days - really weird because I have no intention of smoking & I don't even want one, I think the habit of smoking is what I miss sometimes (damn nuisance) grrrrr!!

Sure it's ok bossD...

Yup, for me today was pretty shite, sometimes occasionally we can feel that way but remember that you don't smoke any more and fags have nothing to do with your life now. Keep going fella, stick some earbuds in and have a blast and tomorrow will be different, back to normal. it's just your body and brain getting used to being sane again. Have fun, remember what you're quitting for. It's the only way and I know you've got this! :D

9 weeks today for me and the craves are really bad today, mainly because we have had some good news (daughter got As in the first part of her A levels) and a celebratory fag is all i have wanted all day!

Am very happy :) and very mad at myself:mad:

Be careful

That is what happened to me when I got to the 3 mts last time I quit.I was well over it,but gave into the crave(what harm could it do) and that was it.back to smoking full time and had to go through withdrawel again.I was gutted but I WONT fall for it again.and you musnt Boss or all this will be for nothing and within a week you will be giving up again.

You,v done brilliant...........a big pat on the back.:D

read all your replies and thank you, I do not know what it was really. I am ok now and focused again. I think I have mentioned in earlier posts that I have felt really unwell giving up cold turkey BUT I am now starting to feel a lot better, my tiredness has gone, the strange tickling inmy nose has gone, my cough has gone...If I ever think of lighting up again I just run through my mind the agony and pain of the first 2 weeks of this process...I can never go through that again...
