Just back from a great weekend in Edinburgh with my girlfriends. Went to see 'Dolly Parton's 9 to 5' at Theatre, absolutely brilliant show:).
So good company, good laughs, fine food, copious amounts of alcohol, and a bit of shopping, all and all a good weekend. And not one puff, my non smoking friends were so proud of me.
Lots of activity on here just now, everyone is doing so well and being so encouraging and supportive.
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me on my quit journey.

Well done on reaching the 12 week mark, that's awesome. Sounds like you had a great time in Edinburgh! We always think when we smoke that we will never enjoy a night out drinking alcohol, but that's just really a lie - the night is actually more enjoyable without fags....and no smoking hangover either (mouth like cess pit etc)
Thank you for the positive posts they are always very encouraging to me xx
Well done nutmeg. Is it just me or does it seem that nonsmokers have more fun. I never wanted to do stuff at the weekends because it interfered with my smoking time, but that trip to Edinburgh sounds like a winner!
Well done Nutmeg 12 weeks is awesome! Sounds like you had a brilliant weekend too with your friends. You are definitely one of those who you just know they are going to succeed.

Thanks! Very early in my quit, I chose to have a relatively quiet time, as I too didn't think I'd every enjoy social events. However, 3 months on and yes, I can promise, a good time can definitely be had without the cigs

Yes, pretty damned pleased with 12 weeks. Even more pleased that I rarely think about cigs now. You've always had such confidence in me that I'll succeed in my quit, and for that I thank you so much Haze, that means a lot.
well done - and i cant wait to see 9-5 well jel on 2 counts your 12 weeks and youve seen the show lol
Thanks Sassy
Appreciate your support. 9 to 5 was a great Show, we had good seats quite close to stage and I still didn't recognise Bonnie Langford in one of the lead parts, she was amazing, great voice.
Next show at Theatre 'Dirty Dancing', one of my fav films
Great stuff Nutmeg, 12 weeks is immense, please keep posting, you contribute a lot to the newer quitters now...

What a nice thing to say, you're lovely. Hopefully most of my posts have been positive, I can honestly say that this quit has been the easiest to date! One word - Mindset.
There is loads of positivity at the moment, I agree, and people like you are responsible for that. You have answered each and every person who has commented on your post individually and that is a lot of posting because you are so popular. xxx Well done again Fi xxx
Hi Fi, you are so positive all the time that you actually seem to be much further into your quit than you are! You are one of the many people on here at the moment who are just destined to get to penthouse right on schedule

Thanks so much:). I'm glad my is positivity is catching! It's all to do with 'frame of mind'. Shame about my big behind He, he I'm a poet!!
Big behind! I bet you haven't! Talk about "poetic licence"!
They've said at work that they're going to have doorways widened just for me, I said "I'm not that egotistical about my quit yet". Thickos didn't even get it!
Not really, they've all been brill actually hehehe
