I quit in October 2010 and stupidly started again in February 2011 :o.
This is my third serious quit. I used patches on the previous two, but this one is off the back of reading Allen Carr's Easyway book. I didn't really expect anything from the book, but it's prompted something within me.
Not doing too bad (just into day 4 as at 10:45). No major quit-threats so far...
Good luck to everyone who's in the process of quitting. It's the greatest gift you can give yourself and your nearest and dearest.

Sorry to hear about your brother Lynn :(.
This is a great forum :). Everyone was so helpful during my last quit but I got a bit complacent and fell off the wagon. Hopefully I've learnt from it and won't make the same mistake again.
Welcome back CC, and welcome too Lynn, hope it goes well; stick to this forum, for me at least it's been a Godsend (CC, you know this already obviously!)
Very well thanks! Nearly (counts on fingers) 21 months now. Would never have believed it possible when I started out. This will be your sticky quit, I know it

Wow!! That's fabulous Hels. A huge congrats!!
They do say that you learn a little more with each quit attempt, so I hope I've got enough wisdom to see me through this time :).
I have wondered about you many a time my old friend. How's life treating you? I Hope you are well (bar the smoking :D).
I wish you all the best with your quit. Remember my old favorite saying
One minute, One hour, one day at a time.
Good to see you back Mr Ed
Sian xx
Hey Sian my old friend :). Nice to see some of the old crowd still here with intact quits. I'm OK ta (bar the smoking. Could kick myself over that). How's things with you?
I'm living by your favourite saying ATM although I'm only 4 days in.
