And I can finally post in week 2. I made it through the first week. How proud am I of myself lol. I would normally have given up by now and although I know there will still be hard times to come I also know that it will get easier. Apart from the fact that I am facing everything head on and overcoming the obsticles I also know that I have the support of everyone on this forum to help me in the bad times. I'm now looking forward to posting in week 3, only another 7 days to go lol :D:D
Thank God that week is over!!!: And I can... - No Smoking Day

Well done, Mark. I look forward to joining you in the second week soon.
I'm saving you a seat Ellie. There is also room for you in the Olympic Quitters Support Group if you want to join it. There are a couple of us in the early stages of quitting.
Hi Mark you're doing great. I'm in week 2 now and have been following your posts - think your journeey has been very similar to mine. Prior to this effort I never managed to stop for more than 24 hrs so proud to be here in week 2. Stay strong out there
Great job Mark!
The hardest times are well and truly behind you now. Perhaps time to start thinking about fun stuff you can do with money saved?
Alex.
Diamond & Mark, well done to you both, keep it going, starting to get used to looking out for the posts!
Hi all its quiet on here today. Hope everyone's OK out there and keeping clean. Day 10 for me now so gradually moving on with this now
Hey Diamond, quiet on here? Just speaking for myself, just got in from work! Nice one on double figures, day 10's great going, you seem quietly determined too
Hi there Bear, I'm still here at work, tryin to do as little actual work as possible, still keeps my mind of those oily rags. You've done incredibly well since June, looking fwd to getting there too
Hi Mark and congrats on getting into Week 2 it feels good doesn't it  I've just joined you today so brought some champers and choccies with me but don't tell the others
Looks like we Olympians are made of sterling stuff, so Rio here we come  I, of course, am entered in the hammer throwing event lol!!
Zoe xx
Ha ha I know that feeling Diamond, same here for the last hour before I got away, hope you still getting away with it.
Well done too Zoe, the days soon add up.....
On day 9 now. Diamond, I quit on the same day as you but put my last cigarette out at 10.45pm so I'm currently qorking my way through day 9. Day 10 soon enough though. Double figures sounds great and I want that achievement. Won't be long until we are in triple figures.
Zoe, if you are entering hammer throwing at Rio I will definately be watching... from the safety of a hotel room on the other side of the world. You could be very dangerous with your hammer and I don't fancy getting caught in the cross fire.
Good work you two (Diamond, avoid the hammer!!!) rofl!!!:D:eek:
Mark yeah I know we're on the same timeline here - your posts in those early days helped me a lot - I did'nt post much but I read them all. Its good to know there's folks out there who totally get what this journey is. I've been pretty good over the last couple of days, much better than at the weekend and can't quite believe I'm actually doing this
Lol Mark that made me laugh so much
Zoe, if you are entering hammer throwing at Rio I will definately be watching... from the safety of a hotel room on the other side of the world. You could be very dangerous with your hammer and I don't fancy getting caught in the cross fire.
Not that I would attack a fellow Olympian of course, unless you steal my chocolate
Hello Una, its good to be back and yes I am still zany. I have a hammer now too heehee
Zoe xx
Hi there my hammer throwing friend, you're going great into wk 2. As Mark says we'll be watching from a safe (very) distance WOOT WOOT!
Well done
Well done all of the above you have all done great and you are brilliant support for each other. This is the forum at its best!
Diamond, Join the Olympic Quitters Social Group and you will see what Zoe says about her hammer. It's disturbing... and hilarious lol. If she doesn't get Gold on every event in Rio 2016 I fear for the safety of everyone hahaha
Going for gold
Mark,
If she doesn't get Gold on every event in Rio 2016 I fear for the safety of everyone hahaha
Of course I will get a gold in every event in Rio 2016 oh ye of little faith Well maybe not running cos that will be you and everyone else running for your lives in case my hammer goes in the wrong direction  Wanted to practice in the garden last night but thought the neighbours might think I've totally flipped, so went for a walk instead. Maybe I can find a better spot to practice like the back of the police station lol ........
Zoe xx
Who cares what people think? Get out there and work that hammer with pride!!!
Hi all, hope you're doing OK out there today. Sorry did'nt post yesterday. Day 12 now so just moving through week 2. Stay on track out there - long weekend coming up so make sure you get a chance to chill out. Sending my son to his Gran's so peace & quiet - sure the missus will have her jobs list out though!
