Well, at last, joined forum 1 week ago and can now post! Day 11 since last cigarette. Not been easy, but survived Girlfriend being admitted to a Looney Ward, Car breaking down at the Hospital, Dogs wreaking the flat and England in the Football (YES! survived the bar test!!)
I´ve tried everything and Champix (despite the the sickness & insomnia) is the only thing that seems to be working! That & the help of my (smoking) friends.
Still have an occasional craving but......
Question? Feel really sick! Esp. in the Mornings! Anyone come off Champix after 1 month and survived, or best to stick out the 12 weeks?
BTW. Girlfriend now out and home! lol

Have you been eating and drinking when you take Champix? I made that mistake and felt like you describe. Once I started eating before taking it, I feel great (other than a few minor ailments such as headaches and flatulence). I can deal with these if it keeps me off the smokes.
I'm now getting ready to start week 6 of Champix and day 29 of not smoking.

Stick with it. We're beating this together.
Yep drinking a pint of water whilst taking the pill, funnily though, been more sick with food AM than without it! PM no problems except the dreams & insomnia!
For me Champix is a wonder drug, nothing else works, it kills virtually all craving.
However under no illusions that I will be / am a reformed addict, a nicoholic!
Wow tekkie. That has been some set of hurdles designed to trip you up there! Know nothing of champix but just want to say RESPECT for not smoking. Given the week you've had thats a hell of a result. As was the England game. I was sure they'd stuff us
Hi, I can't remember how long l took Champix for......l seem to remember that it wasn't for too long tho', due to feeling a bit sickly. I think that it is a WONDER drug....... l can't praise it highly enough.
I smoked about 60 a day for over 47 years...:eek:and have now bee smoke free for 4 1/2years. So, it CAN be done.
