Not one cigarette for 6 months and over £1000 saved, not only that I feel fantastic and truly proud of myself, I never thought I could quit smoking.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Well done Francob!!
Thanks Dave.
Nice one Francob. You should be proud, it's a great thing to have achieved.
Onwards and upwards!
Helen
Thanks SaraM & Helsbelles, keep up the good work too.
Well done - fantastic milestone to reach
Well done francob!
Great news francob. Any triggers now or is it all pretty much part of life these days?
Hi Karri,
No triggers at all - My OH smokes and most of my friends and I havent considered, thought about or been close to smoking.
Rarely even think about smoking these days other than wondering why I smoked for so long, just wished I quit earlier. I've read and heard about people having 6 month plus quits and going back to smoking so I'll continue to keep my guard up but I am very confident i'll never go back to smoking.
Just to help as further motivtion my father quit for 20 plus years and as soon as my parents divorced he went back to smoking 20 a day, interestingly this is when I took up smoking at approximately 16 years old.
I did laugh last week-end when his friend said "how have you done it". He replied "you just got to man up and get on with it"
Really well done Mark - you have every reason to feel proud.
I'm also impressed that your philosophy on quitting has spread so rapidly. In no time, we may be ditching The Easy Way in favour of The Manly Way.
No more Champix. No NRT. Testosterone all round. Job done.
I am pleased for you, though!
WELL DONE
you have been so focused, determined and positvie through out the first six
the way your going the next six months are going to be a doddle
onwards and upwards is the only way
Well done Mark you are doing so well I will meet you in the penthouse soon, it's great up here. x:D:
Well done. I remember my 6 months the last time. Was so proud of myself, then I stupidly had one whilst under a lot of stress and here I am 18 months later trying to quit for good. I hope this doesn't happen to you, you have done really well. Good luck
Well done, 6 months is awesome no turning back now! But you are right not to let your guard down though I've known several people fall foul of the "just one" idea with quits of even a few years.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
man mysteriously quits using man power. no gimmicks no pussyfooting just man up and do it and he did it by george . i must say since i came across the ' man up'term iv kicked afew metaphorical butts, pun not intended but looks right. very well done dude. i quite like the belt up and drive style.
