So, today is my day four! I quit smoking monday, at about 4pm. So now, being friday, is my fourth day!
I feel kind of better than yesterday. I have an headache, fairly strong one. I am eating bananas, nutella and drinking tons of fruit juice. It kind of helps with the low blood sugar and to help the flushing of the nicotine.
The nicotine stains on my finger are about to go away
My junkie mind has reached new levels of complexity. I locked myself in my house, phisically. I know that if i go outside i am going to smoke, my mind will just find an excuse for it.
Also i quit cold turkey. So four days without nicotine for me (Yippie!).
I have been smoking for two and a half years. For the first half year i smoked under 10 cigarettes per day. The next two years i smoked 15/30 cigarettes per day.
When is my mind going to get better? Right now i feel a little insane

Hi caner and welcome to the forum. Well done on reaching Day 4, I am on Day 5 so I know how you are feeling Well done on going cold turkey too. The fruit juice is a good idea too, and by now the nicotine will have left your body, but we still have to deal with the psychological cravings which is quite tough but it does get easier. Don't be afraid to go out, I find a brisk walk is a great help if I feel like smoking. And don't worry about your mind either, we all go a bit crazy in the early days  Keep posting on here and come and join the December Quitters 2011 group!!
