I've had vivid dreams of smoking for the last 5 nights. I know this is my brain trying to get to me while I least expect it. I awoke today with thoughts of how lame my life is. I'm 33 y/o and I have no vice. I quit drinking years ago and now I don't smoke. *yawn* I feel 50 today .

My dad is nearly 50, and his life is much more exciting than mine, he's also much fitter as well .
With the dreams, there are several ways to go about it. One is to just try and ignore them. My personal way though, is to embrace them. They are what they are, just memories of before. I still dream of eating bacon, and enjoying it, but I don't do it in 'real life' (vegetarian). I wake up thinking, 'Mmm, that was nice', in the knowledge that I don't have to feel guilty!! Same goes for smoking dreams, dreams about men I like, dreams about telling work to eff off etc

OMG Elisa - You are soooo right about those oldies - that is EXACTLY how they are LOL! Especially the ones with health problems - what is their problem?
I think we should just ignore them all and just talk about the things that really matter.
I know how you feel although I am a little older than you at 44
I gave up drinking on February 7 2010 (it was getting out of hand, must be my addictive personality) and now have given up smoking so I too have no real vices except perhaps slightly overeating at the moment.
My boyfriend says I am not to give up anything else!!!
I had a few smoking dreams in the first few weeks of giving up but rest assured they do subside.
