I am now a non-smoker using Champix - No Smoking Day
I am now a non-smoker using Champix
Welcome to the club, Viv! My first non-smoking day, I was more fascinated by how spaced out I was by the Champix, and felt relatively calm about the absence of nicotine itself. It was very wierd, but not in a totally bad way. You will still get your ups and downs, but the Champix helps, and it can be done. We are all with you.
Welcome to the Wonderful world of non smoking viv.
Saving Already
All cigarettes gone ,rolling equipment gone, ashtrays gone, all my windows are open trying to get rid of any smell of smoke I will be washing all the nets tomorrow and hoovering using shake and vac lets get my flat back to what it’s supposed to smell like fresh and clean.
I have a list of jobs to do to achieve this! which will also help to keep me occupied and my mind away from the nicodemon.
I just arrived home from a trip to the supermarket I needed to put my lottery and it’s the same place where they sell the cigarettes normally I would get my lottery tickets and buy my cigarettes the same time I would only buy 4 packets = £24 plus £5 lottery I would buy the other 3 packets later in the week to pay £42 in one go just seemed to much but I still spent £42 a week who was I trying to fool.
Well, today was different just the £5 lottery yippee.
Congrats on your restart to stop, Viv
You seem to be in very positive place and I hope that will continue as the time passes into your nico-freedom. You're an old hand at this quitting lark having already put in a decent quit period before falling off the proverbial wagon. If I could suggest tho, that increasing your vitamen intake such as A and C will have a beneficial effect. Drink water too....but you're not needing to float any kinda warship...just sips are fine.
More importantly take the time to read up what you're going through and how nicotine affects us. You can gather that info from both here on NSD and also from the various sites that some of us have in our sigs. Once you've got that info straight in your head it's great to consolidate by offering the wisdom you've learned to others behind you....you'd be able to do this immediately having already experienced so much
Keep on keepin' on,
Cav
Congratulations Viv on first day of your quit and hope you are having a great day. I am on Champix too, and in spite of being the most grumpy and grouchy person EVER yesterday I did not smoke, wow And now I am in Day 6 and can't believe it! So if I can get this far anyone can cos I am really bad at giving up things which are bad for me. Feel great tonight though!
Take care and enjoy your quit,
Zoe
