Well done, you can park last years failed quit at the back of your mind because this one looks to be working.

Stick with it - good luck....

personally ive never got to the point where that feeling goes - im only on day 4 now. But others have assured me that it does.

When my nan stopped smoking she told herself she can start again when she was 80 - she is 80 now (40 yrs) and she remembers she can smoke now , but just has no desire to any more.

Ive heard alot of people say that there is a changing point around 4 months - so just keep on trecking - knowing for sure itll get better.

yay - well done you! Does feel good, doesn't it? Just to know I'm giving myself about £50 back per week is just fab!

I'm at about the same time as you and I still do feel like there is something missing, but it does pass. I was telling my husband last night that it feels like you do when you'd smoked about an hour before and you are about ready for the next one. I never get to the 'climbing the walls' stage, but I feel like i could just have one and have to remind myself I don't do that any more! It is getting less frequent, so that has to be a good thing!

Every time I visit my mum, she burys her face into my hair and takes a big sniff, tells me I smell great and that she is so very proud of me! that's a massive motivator because she hated the fact I smoked. She gave up about 30 years ago and claims she never, ever misses it, but her husband, who gave up around the same time, says he occasionally thinks he fancies one, but it soon passes and he never would. I think it's the idea of one more than a real desire.

ok - I'm waffling now but what i wanted to say is I understand and well done!

Well done :)

It's great having the extra cash to spend on yourself - I bought myself a new pair of shoes with my fag money this week :)

I'm on day 30 and have tried to quit many many times. This time seems to be different and it definately gets easier as time goes on.

I'm using patches and hardly want one any more :)

Keep sticking with it and you will find every day it will be getting easier :D

I focus myself on the early days now when I was climbing the walls and think that if I smoke now I will have to go through that all again. Plus I'm going on holiday in 5 weeks time and I dont want to go on another holiday being a smoker (I am 30 years old and have never been abroad without chuffing myself through the whole holiday)

Keep up the good work!!

mmmm am i finding it easier well yes and no, yes the cravings are not quite as bad as the first week or two , meaning they are not as often , but i still feel i am missing out on something, but after 30 years of smoking things are not going to improve overnight, it is sheer determination, i do not want to smoke anymore that is not saying i dont miss it, sounds crazy i know but then again i am an addict .

I know exactly how you feel - I don't want to smoke either but just miss it sometimes. I think it will just be one of those things where we always miss it sometimes but I think those times will become further and further apart.

Kepp up the good work!! x
