How to start a new thread

Sorry copied this from another thread I started because the I used heading was wrong.

Hi all, I have notice a few times that a new person coming on here is finding it hard to start a thread. If you are used to using a forum then this is easy but if you have never posted on a forum before it can be confusing.

First of all find the catagory in which you would like to start a thread.

Examples: Day 1, Day 2, Week 2, Month 1 etc. depending where you are in you quit or where you want to start your thread.

At the top left you will see a blue button "New Thread" click on this and you will see a small box at the top for you title and a large box for you message. Once you have written you message you can preview it by clicking the button below or submit it with the submit button. You can also add smilies by clicking on them.

I hope this helps and maybe a mod could make a sticky post like this that could help.

Whats a Mod? do they ride scooters and wear parkas? whats a sticky post? if i lean on it wil it ruin my shirt??????? ps anyone know how to quote a part of some ones post like one sentence or a couple of words, and insert it into my post? help would be much appreciated as im a bit fik

hi there, use the quote button on the bottom left of the other persons post. just delete the bits you dont want.

youre welcome! bit fiddly at first but you'll soon get the hang. dont delete the 2 bits that say 'quote' and it will look like this one

A mod is a moderator who checks all the posts to make sure there is nothing in them that there shouldn't be.

A sticky post is when a thread stays at the top of a catagory and doesn't travel down then dissapear like the others do.

If you go to the catagory: Other symptoms of quitting

You will see the first thread is marked sticky; If you have symptoms which concern you, seek medical advice.
