I don't know if it's the quit or just one of those days but I'm feeling distinctly out of sotes today.
I'm crotchety and irritated by everything. One pf those days where everything I touch is just more difficult than it should be! For example it took me 5 goes to get a duvet in it's flaming cover grrrrrrrr!
I've used more NRT gum today than I have in absolutely ages - and if I'm honest quite a few of the pieces I haven't really needed but have chewed on them almost out of defiance.
I should be all happy and excited today as my new dogs are turning up tomorrow. BUt even that thought isn't making me jump for joy.
Sorry.... that's better needed the rant!!!
Feeling better now, thank you all for being there.

Sorry you're having a bad day. Every now and again we're all entitled to feel a bit pants about stuff for no particular reason; it's what makes us human!
Hope you are soon feeling your normal perky self again
I mainly just read the comments on this site now, however the feelings you are experiencing are unfortunatly what we all feel as we go through the quit process, and I do feel for you as I can remember the feelings myself, but please , please don't give into the nicodemon because things will only get easier as you progress through your quit. There are thousands of us in the penthouse (one year quit) who have been where you are but apart from some words of encouragement, we can only wait at the door of the penthouse and take your hand as you joint our club i.e. "the non smokers club"so I have a lovely double single malt waiting on you, so don't let yourself or us down, you know that you can do this, wishing all the best.

Don't worry Dale you are probably just going through a purple patch!! Give it a minute and everything will be fine again!!!
Hope you are feeling better now. Do you remember my post a week or so ago, I was exactly the same but it did pass.
I have a couple of good days but then one humdinger of a bixch. We can do this Dale stay strong and cant wait for us both to be reporting our "2 month" very soon. I think our minds are just saying ok well done but Im bored now, lets get back to normal ! We are not going to listen are we, listen to Mr Cadbury instead !!!
Well done for staying quit - on the bright side to a crap day at least if you have another crappy day in the future you have the "i've done this before i can do it again" on your side now and even though it wasnt a great day you can always be be pleased you didnt smoke
You never know, it might just be a crap day, unrelated to not-smoking and crap day + not smoking is still better than crap day + smoking.
Can't wait to hear about the dogs tomorrow! Ruff ruff
Very true Lula, hadn't thought about it that way - I can do my little 'tick box and take gold star, dealt with crap day and not smoked' thing! Ooh actually feel much better all of a sudden. Ta muchly xxx
Sitting here trying to choose names! Got the beds and bowls out and am off tomorrow morning to buy toys and snacks (using my not smoking fund which seems like a good way to use it).
Will report back on the ahem that will occur tomorrow. 2 x 3 year old labs = mayhem. 2 x3year old labs who haven't seen each other for a few weeks=total wipeout I suspect. Will be spending the morning moving anything and everything below 3 foot!!

hi there..i sure know what ya mean! we all go through these days and they are very annoying!! you have made it through smoke free so pat yourself on the back hun!!
Had a few days like that myself recently Dale. Today im missing my ex and smoking, both were good and bad for meand played starring rolls, but now they are gone,,,,,,,, bless em. suppose its a new day and a new dawn and nothing lasts forever, and i really beleive that today, and its not a reason to be all dramatic and smoke and drink whiskey its very hollywood and would symbolize perfectly how i feel.....[sigh] but i wont, i'll have a cup of tea and watch the sun going down and have a puff on my inhalator.

Hi Mash
Good for you - it sounds like you really are starting a new life. I love the image of you being all Hollywood!!
