Diary of a quitter - Day 14

I'm in love with my dentist. She make heap big hurty tooth all gone bye bye.

Haven't smoked. Not going to smoke today.

Cravings come and go, but I really do feel like they are inconsequential compared to how I felt in first three days of quit. I keep catching myself taking huge, deep, satisfying breaths..just because I can. Perhaps I should go and advertise Tunes - anyone remember them?

I saw some youngsters puffing away outside the shops this morning, and it was an effort not to go over there and lecture them. I hope I'm not becoming a card carrying, stomping-up-and-down sandwich board wearing reformed smoker mentalist.

We've all met one of those right? The person who chooses exactly the wrong time to lecture you all about the benefits of quitting whilst boring you to tears informing you that they smoked 1000 a day for 970 years and then quit just like that. And it's always in that patronising and slightly smug tone that just makes you want to rend them from limb to limb with your teeth and then committ Hari-Kari off the nearest roof!

If I ever get like that, I hope someone has the good sense to amputate my larynx and then beat me to death with my own placard.

And now, the important stuff. And what a reversal of fortunes! After a sucky last two days;

My wife is coming home today! Woohoo! Got the call this morning and going to pick her up this afternoon. I cannot wait. Gonna cook her a nice meal, and give her ice-cream, and do all the dishes, and put my son to bed, and do the hoovering, smile at the neighbours, perm the lawn, and..and..and.. Well, you get the picture.

Onwards and upwards.

My wife is coming home today! Woohoo!

Hodges, that's absolutely great news. :D Give her all of our good wishes.

And as for your non-smoking...............well, what can l say :cool: You have done fantastically well, especially in the given circumstances. ;) I reckon, that if you can stay smoke free in those conditions, you will never ever, under any circumstances, smoke again :D

I know what you are saying. I drive past loads of school kids doing the school run and I see all these 13-16 year olds smoking and I wanna shout at them. OI STUPID do you realise how many years you are gonna be sucking on that thing before you can give it up, if you can give it up' :mad: but I don't I drive by feeling so sorry that they think this is the way to look 'cool' :cool: more :eek: I think.

So pleased to hear your wife is coming home. Have a lovely evening together.
