Chuck the ciggies in the bin so as you won't tempted.
If you're really struggling then try the Nicorette Inhalator, it's not as strong as the some of the gum and the hand to mouth action may just stave off the intense cravings.
And don't throw the cigs in the bin, you could get them out again. Stamp on them, grind them to powder. Better still, put them in a glass of water, watch the water turn to disgusting brown tarry soup and think about your lungs.
I was just reading back over my own posts from around the time you are now at, and I was having a hell of a time. I think a lot of us have hit a wall around this point, where you start thinking, I should be feeling fine by now, why am I still craving like a loony, this isn't fair, this isn't worth it... you HAVE to fight through it.
I'm now (does quick calculation) on my 36th day. I'm still having the odd bad crave, I won't deny it, but i promise you they are much fewer and further between. I feel so much better, physically and mentally. And I'm reliably informed it gets better still.
Hang in there, don't give up, be strong. Put on some loud music and dance through the crave. Celebrate how far you've come and tell the demon he can take his fags and shove them where the sun don't shine
its great to hear it will get better.i have been reading other peoples posts from months, and still quite a few are suffering, which makes me feel like, why bother.
