Well day 4 for me today and think I'm going to come off the 24hour patches. I just can't be doing with the vivid dreams (some good some not so good). It as though my mind is so active during the night that I feel as though I'm having no rest if that makes sense.
Otherwise all going well apart from the being so stiff. I'm trying to do this 'couch 2 5K' programme and think I may have done too much, my legs ache so so much and I thought exercise was supposed to be fun
Oh I re-read the Gillian Riley stop smoking book over the weekend, I forgot at what a fabulous book this was and how much it made sense to me. If like me you found Alan Carr made sense but was a bit 'preachy' give Gillian's a go.
Have a good day all
Tinks xx

Exactly how I felt about the full fat ones, Tinks.
Some dreams were great but the intensity of a few was hard to shake off The 16hr patch reduced the night restlessness a lot with the 'feeding' of the nicotine still continuing to help.
Keep that book by your bedside. It sounds a very helpful tool for you and a good recommendation for others.
When I quit before I had some funky dreams on the patches. Have to say though gone cold turkey this time and still had some funky dreams. Think it may just be part of the quitting process that is perhaps exacerbated by the patches.
As for the excercise, you are going to ache to start with but it will get easier with time.
Hi tinks well done i think it might be to do with a combination of giving up and actually stopping smoking that causes alot of different things going on in the body more then normal vivid dreams is def one  but hope the lesser dose ones work for you
I have read on few sites that the body only absorbs half the caffine when smoking. You should try cutting down on caffine as your taking twice the hit and maybe this will give you a better night sleep
lol nope tink no more drinking than usual just my normal confused state lol.
Well its been 15 months now (my god its gone quick !!!!) and not smoking is just a way of life now, i know it sounds smug but why not I DID IT lol, Im sure you will too.
I do come back here once in a while and try to give a little support if i think ive got anything useful to offer.
Hang in there hun I KNOW YOU CAN MAKE IT keep in touch
i am loving the dreams before i quit smoking i suffered from nightmares on a regular basis now i have lovely vivid normal dreams and no nightmare result
