Friday night (10th) was my one month quitaversary and also my work Christmas do - it's the first time i've had a proper skinful as a non-smoker. I was so so nervous about it, as i was convinced i would give in. So am really proud to say i stood fast and firm and the nearest i got to having a cig was stook outside with the smokers eating a drumstick lolly!!
I'm not sure whether this is an actual truth or in my head, but my hangover on Saturday felt different...yeah there was the headache etc but i didn't feel as sick and 'poisoned' as i usually do - could this be to do with not smoking do you think? It was lovely also to not stink - usually it's hair, clothes, the works!
I am starting to notice just how bad smokers smell though, wow!
30 days down (1 month 2 days) and am really looking forward to the 2 month milestone

well done on not smoking on the work night out. You have come through a major test of will power with flying colours! It is a reat feeling, isn't it? I was out last night at a party that went on really late. Was stressed at the beginning as we went outside as per to greet the smokers, but, once inside, I was O.K. I just danced the whole night and never joined the smokers when they were on their breaks. Drank quite a lot too and , yeah, you are right, hangover is not quite as bad. I also had the nicotine pastels (no patch tho) to see me through. Today, I have no patch as I have run out!!! Panicked a bit, but just using the pastels. I think weekends are my danger zone and am looking forward to Monday morning as I will be busy and not so tempted to smoke. Never thought I would wish away the weekend!!
Anyway, well done, another hurdle over, bring on a smoke free xmas!!
