I've been reading the great support given on here for the past 10 days which has helped me through my first week and abit of hell....
Now 10 days in, feeling ok today. I can never tell how i'm going to feel until after about 10 secs of waking up ! I know from that point if the day will be easier or a nightmare.
Gone CT as the champix i was prescribed, which worked at first, made me go abit weird.
thanks

Hi Kirk
Well done on Day 10 and now for going CT. You have done the same as me as i quit whilst taking the first 5 days of Champix, which was good but when i got to day 12 of taking day 7 of quit i had to stop taking them too as they made me feel very angry, aggitated, not a nice person, sad, lonely, depressed, etc etc but i have been CT now for 11 days and i am doing great
Anyhow, keep up the good work my friend as you are doing so well.
very similiar stories, as soon as I went on the double dose of blue tablets, I knew something was wrong. I did take it back down to 1 blue a day, but like you felt incredibly agitated.
I find CT gets easier alot quicker albeit a tad harder (if that makes any sense !)
As Bev said we are all so different (thank goodness) and likewise our quits are also going to be totally different as well.
Some of us will go through a bad month at the beginning and then another will have a bad month 3 and so on, some may even be lucky enough to have no bad months or even days!!!!
But we want go down that road as I’m sure there are very few who can boast of that.
Whatever you’re quit throws at you and in whatever month it does it I’m sure this forum will give you all the help and support you will need to help you combat it.
CT or NRT that also doesn’t matter, all ways are good so long as at the end of it you are a non smoker.
Keep focussed and try not to forget that even a year down the line that nasty nico demon can still rear its ugly head and try to make us forget why we quit in the first place.
