Here I am at day 5 and still smoke-free. Went out for a few beers last night and not even a thought of a relapse!! Thank heavens for the smoking ban in pubs. It would probably have been a different story if I was surrounded by smokers .
Fresh patch put on a few minutes ago and I'm ready to face the day!!
Good luck to everyone who's quit. We can all do this!!

Day 5....a working week that it...just about done counting in days and starting on the week Capt.
Another victory last night, so well done you.
You should feel very proud of yourself....you are doing great.
Lorna
Thanks Lorna, I'm doing fine at the moment.
I think my biggest test's going to be tomorrow when it's my first day back at work since I started my quit. My work has a lot of 'dead time' during the day and I used to regularly kill that time going outside for a cig. That's not an option now so I'll have to find some other way to occupy myself. Thankfully I have internet access at work so there might be some panic-stricken posts tomorrow :p. xx
Nearly done with counting in days, next is will be weeks and then months! I loved climbing up the board.
Have you read read and re read the links in peoples signatures? Also do what i did and always read ahead (i know, i already told you that)!
Heh heh!! Thanks Claire :). I've been practically living on these forums for the past few days!! I've been following the links and reading old threads. It's proving very effective when I feel a 'wobble' coming on. So far so good!!! It's fun posting in the next forum up :). I'm looking forward to my 1 week.
Probably like most of us at all stages of quitting I know I'm only one cig away from being back where I was . If I can avoid that one, I can avoid them all. One day, hour, minute at a time. I'll get there. I'm determined to do it!! xx
Well done Captain, sounds as though you've got a good solid quit going there, soon out of the days and into the weeks, congratulations.
Lorraine
Thanks Lorraine :). I'm getting cravings from time to time but I'm just powering through them. Sneaky little buggers think they can catch me out. Maybe before, but not this time!!!
You're doing fantastically yourself!! 9 months is very impressive!! Your 1 year's in sight now :). xx
