OMG thats 46 weeks!!

Well i logged in to this site way back when i was just giving up and lost my log in details and all that blah blah!!

So anyway was checking out my calendar and its been 46 weeks since i gave up and not one has touched my lips.

I am still suffering with my asthma which i was really hoping would clear up once i gave up but it seems not......but over all its all good.

I dont smell anymore and i can smell again

How is everyone else doing?

Hopefully your asthma will settle eventually, has it improved at all since you stopped?

wonder if asthma is not getting better cos of pollen count and allergy time now?

Hi everyone.

Well to be honest i never thought i would make it this far because i have a very addictive nature! It was a toss up between my two addictions fags or the gym...the gym won

We dont have such a pollen problem here, its the middle of our winter and we have snow I think i just have bad asthma and if i hadnt given up i would have died early for sure. I still take three puffers 4 times a day, plus extra when i need it, but because i go to the gym most days i have very good lungs when i am well, and i keep doing a little more just to keep well. Which makes being sick worse then anything.

On the plus side our new budget has been set and on the 1st July a packet of 20 fags will now cost nearly £6.

With the money i would have spent on smokes were hoping to go on holiday next Jan. That will be an experience, flying without the panic, going out for a meal without the rush, oh i cant wait.

I do think though once you get past a certain time, you almost forget that you were ever a smoker (most of the time).

But there are times of stress when you instantly think "SMOKE" but it soon passes.

I will skip into 1 year in 43 days, whats that all about
