Tired all the Time (TATT)

Hi anyone....any advice please....

Since quitting, my energy levels went sky high and now have dropped to well below zero...and I am soooooo tired all the time.

Someone even commented yesterday how tired I looked, and it's not as if I'm not getting enough sleep.

Has anyone else experienced severe tiredness?

Hi Nickiw,

I quit on 2nd. Feb. this year, so am 4.5 months in.

I felt the tiredness for the first 3.5 months.

It's only this past couple of weeks or so that I've felt a bit better.

I just joined a gym last week (which, if you knew me, is a miracle) and am feeling better every day.

As for the first 3.5 months - I am ashamed to say that I gave in to the tiredness and slept whenever I felt like it (opportunity allowing).

And I did, literally, have a nap every day as well as going to bed very early.

But, it helped and at least while sleeping I wasn't smoking.....

But it has seemed to pass now, and I'm feeling loads better and much more positive.

Am even beginning to think that I may well make it to being a non-smoker, instead of a smoker who isn't smoking at the moment......:)

Thanks for your post...I would say that I would do some more exercise, but haven't even got the energy to start any....

I suppose it is a catch 22 situation really...probably would feel better if I did some exercise...

Think I may just pay a visit to docs just to make sure there is nothing else wrong...

Mind you, from reading your post there is hope that things will improve...xx

Hi Nicki I am the same but up and down with it some days great others like today naff, is it the quit I dont know love I hope so and that it will ease off soon, started taking multi vits and if I keep taking them I feel better but I so forget LOL still good to go docs and ask the question as it could be anemia or nothing and thats good to have your mind put at rest.

Our body has a lot to deal with when we quit and if you think u have been smoking lots longer than you have quit so its a long road to feeling really good but we will get their, take care x

What we need is a machine above the bed that before we get up we just open our mouth and it just plops in and then we would feel better xx
