:pand half way through the calendar and nearly half way through the year .. WTF .. who would have thought!! I also have just realised I stopped crossing the days off at the end of April so at least the thought that I have quit is not ever present anymore!!

Still think about it lots of times a day though!! Holiday booked for September ... hoping that that will be a safe enough distance away that the corner i seem to be turning becomes a long road way away from the smoking days ... and the memory.

I eat fruit like it comes out of my ears and after my struggle with my health for the first few months (I got ill with my B12 deficiency again) I am finally starting to look really healthy ... and the incessant eating is now over yippee!! I have been eating really healthily and can't remember the last time I had a cake or chocolate. Just the calorific wine that is still going down a treat!!! That is also being cut down now as I have started running again to lose the stone and a half I have put on in time for my hols.

I still long for the day when I don't think about smoking for a whole morning (although it only enters my head two or three times in a morning now) and then a whole day, a whole week etc. But it does seem that the horrendous first few months have eased off into a more steady "come to terms with the quit and formulate your new life" stage.

Fingers crossed. I think a part of me will always miss smoking .... it was my life for so long ... but once I have got through the next few months i think it will have been the best thing I have ever done.

Thanks all for the continued support and I wish all the new quitters all the best ... it is a tough tough decision and a very hard journey you are undertaking but with a bloody minded determination and the realistic understanding that you are going to have a few shxxty months you really will find that it is possible .... and worthwhile. ;)

Cheers Guys

Jodi

Kat ... sorry I missed the fun at the non-footie party. I kind of had a busy one Friday and then a spontaneous night out (don't happen too often!) on saturday from whence I returned with memory loss from about half way through the night!! Sure I saw Bradders and a long lens peeping round the corner just before my memory failed me though lol ;)... hopefully he won't post the bits I have forgotten on the dancefloor on here hee hee!!! My friend had some tales to tell me as usual .. just glad I can't remember ha ha .. yes, I know, I know ... National AA Day forum is my next stop ... one step at a time ha ha!!

Thanks for always being there girlies .. hugs.

Jodi :p

154 days of not smoking

Just read your blog and congratulations, I am too at day 154 and can't quite beleive how fairly easy it has been, I smoked 10 roll ups a day for about 14 years and about 30 on a night out.

Its been my third attempt and I'd say the reason this one has been ok is down to the book ALLAN CARR EASY WAY TO STOP SMOKING, it just puts things in to your head, dont get me wrong I don get the desire to smoke ( usually on the weekends) but it does pass.
