Day three is coming to an end

Hi Everybody. I have joined this forum so that I can keep myself motivated for what I know is one hell of a battle. I am approaching the end of day three( stubbed out my last cigarette at 11.55 pm Monday, May 24th) and am looking forward to waking up with much reduced cravings tomorrow morning! Then the really hard work begins. Peter

Well done Peter , approaching the end of day 3 is a GREAT start to your quit and it will start to get easier for you .

What method are you using ? and how long / many have you smoked ?.

Thanks for the response. I have been smoking between 20 and 40 a day for the past twenty years. I am going cold turkey. I am turning 40 in August and have a daughter of 16. I really want to enjoy her and my adult life together

I wanted to stop while I was in my 40s .....decided enough was enough.

50 today and will have been stopped 13 months tomorrow and NEVER going back to those horrible things again.

Thank you all so much for the responses and encouragement. This has been the missing ingredient in the past. People we know tend to lose patience with us "smokers". I am really enjoying the support and I know it is going to make a huge difference, so thank you all very much.
