Struggling this evening - do patches & lozenges make you feel sick?

Not feeling quite as cheery as my first posts yesterday and this morning. I'm feeling really quite sick, not sure if I've maybe drunk too much tea or if its the patches or the mini tab things. But I'm not a happy bunny.

I've been out on my bike and out with friends, kept occupied and drank lots of water but I just feel very sick, have a terrible headache and I'm really cold. Hopefully a bath and early night will make it all go away.

Still pleased that its now 42 hours since I gave up but finding it quite a struggle tonight just because I feel so rotten.

Suzy, i'm sorry you're feeling rough, I'm not sure about the patches and sickness i'm afraid, have no experience of them. The headache and coldness sound like virus though so a nice hot bath and early night will be just the ticket.

Hope you feel better tomorrow,

Lorraine :)

Just stick with it ....the sickness does pass ..if it gets too much ..maybe speak to ure chemist or doctor ..mite be an alllergy? ... But think its just getting used to the NRT

keep on posting xxx good to hear you:)

Hello Lorraine & KitKat

Feelings of nausea passed finally last night. I just felt really wretched and didn't quite know what to do with my little self. Felt somewhat better after eating something; really glad I persevered so thanks for your messages.

And its now nearly the end of day three! I've only had 5 of the mini lozenge things along with a patch, survived work including my appraisal(!) and I really feel quite ok.

I keep thinking 'oh it would be nice to have a cigarette' and 'what shall I do now?, I know a cigarette would be good' But I am fighting it and feeling really happy about it as I was a bit nervous about day 3 having read about different people's experiences.

Onwards and upwards to day four!!

Hi Suzie glad that you have got past the icky bit I also cannot advice you as I decided to go Ct as it was best for me, we are diferent and so long as you manage to quit who cares if being locked in a padded cell had got me there and it was the only way I would have taken it and been committed then in more ways than one :D

Also a sense of humour is a great quit sustainer, not that I have one mind.

It will get easier just remember to drink plenty (we all found Vodka was good, joking) of WATER :D and eat healthy like we have also done check most of the threads you will see the no weight gain WE WISH LOL enjoy it though as hopefully you want have to ever do it again xx

Glad you're feeling a bit better Suzy. You will find yourself thinking about smoking and cigarettes a lot, it's natural, but don't for one second think a cigarette would be nice, cos it won't, it will just make you light headed, nasty taste in the mouth, make you breath smell and then you will just feel wretched afterwards for having it, what's nice about that!??

Keep calm, positive, and keep pushing forwards, you are doing so well, so keep at it.

Lorraine :)
