For those of you that don't know me my names Alex and i've just completely my 10th day on the cold turkey.
My first few days we're a bit tetchy, I became frustrated easily and found pretty much that people would stay out of my way when they saw my moody face. Which I was more than happy with!! Coming to the end of my 1st week I thought I had started to deal with tension as I wasn't resorting to smoking after a confrontation or whatever.
But now I've come to realise that actually what I'm doing is bottling up all that verbal anger I want to unleash on the poor victim and carrying it with me like a burden. And carrying it with me into the next day, I read somewhere that we release it in our dreams. But im pretty sure I now carry it into my next day when I meet the same people I became annoyed with (normally from their sheer stupidity).
The only thing I can think of is doing exercise more often and grinding out the stress. Might go have a word with my dad and apologise too, think he deserves one (not one of the stupid ppl, just the only person I thought would be able to handle my ranting antics).

Hi Alex,
I am in front of you in my quit and most of us can relate to your comments, but you seem to have the right idea to deal with the stress of non smoking.
During my quit now 5 months, I do excersise by walking, and I also drink lots of water which helps to detox your body. Don't give in to the demon nicotine and like a lot of people on this sight will agree it does get easier.and Alex keep talking to your friends on this sight as we know how you are felling.
I've replaced the nicotine rush with hard work and sweat down the gym, feels like a lifetime ago I made this post, i've just started day 22 and looking forward to completing my first of many months.
As for the whole dealing with stress thing, I think its important to keep a bottle of water around. I kinda 'get off' on that feeling of water trickling down my throat with a couple of deep breaths afterwards, finding that very relaxing!
