Question about champix

Hi, Im hoping someone can answer this.

Ive been taking champix for 4 weeks now with great success and no side effects but I read you are supposed to take the pills 12 hours apart and this is difficult as I get up late and have the first one with lunch. I stay up late as my husband works shifts and like to see him when he gets home but I couldnt eat food at 1am so Ive been taking the 2nd tablet around 10pm and wondered if this is ok ? I cant find any info on how flexible the 12 hour thing is.

Hi Skribbles

I also used Champis and took mine at 10 am as I felt sick when taking earlier and the second one at about 6 pm so just 8 hours apart and never had a problem with that

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Champix

I take my first one at about 8am, and my second one (if I take it at all, haven't done for the last two weeks!), around 3pm, as I thought it was the Champix's fault i kept waking up in the night, but I still do anyway!

As long as you're not feeling any side effects, i would say carry on as you are.

x

Well done by the way!

Brave Mark

Hey Mark, how are you stranger??

I have forgotten to take them a few times, but knowing that i have the willpower of a gnat, am still only taking my morning one. My quit nurse seems to think that's a bad idea, but it's working for me!

My bollox o'clock is getting earlier every night, it was 4.15am for a while, but has gradually been creeping towards 3am, last night was 2.45am. Grrrrr!

Well done for you - i am so not that brave yet!

I won't smoke today either! :D

xx

Sleepy sweeping

Ello both!

Having bollox o'clock issues from the other end - 4.45 was the time I went to sleep last night.... very rubbish. :(

There's an empty desk next to me and all I can think at the moment is how appealing it would be to crawl under it and just have a lil cat nap, just for an hour or so... bet no-one would notice... hmmm....

Coffee, anyone?

I seem to have stopped the waking up now. I take mine at 7.30am and 6pm. I am thinking of cutting out the afternoon one though, just because I don't want to take them for ever.

its crazy how everyone reacts different to the tablets. I sleep 2am - 11am, only thing that wakes me is the sunshine through my curtains. Prior to champix I had insomnia, now I got the opposite.
